nextDesignr.com is your one-stop shop for all things related to Affinity. A blog that covers guides, tips, updates, and news related to Affinity software, specifically for Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.

The main goal of this website is to help beginners discover the benefits of Affinity software, especially for folks who likes to learn graphic design as a hobby.

I’m also new to Affinity software and have much to learn. Here, I share my journey from the perspective of a beginner and graphic design hobbyist. I share guides and tips as I learn them. And I hope you’ll come along with me on this journey.

My Story

Hi, I’m Roshan!

I’ve been a fan of Adobe software since the first time I started using Photoshop 7. I still remember how amazing it was to be able to crop my head onto The Rock’s body to create photo manipulations. 

Back in the day, I was popular among friends. I was the go-to guy for these silly photo manipulations.

This hobby later turned into a profession. I spent a couple of years doing jobs as a graphic designer for a marketing agency.

Needless to say, I was a huge fan of Photoshop. However, that all changed when Adobe introduced its Creative Cloud Subscription.

Call me old-school, but I believe that when you pay for software you should be able to actually own it!

It doesn’t matter if you don’t get any updates or new features. You should still be able to use the software after you make a one-time payment.

I despised Adobe for their shift and the way they kept increasing the pricing for the Photoshop subscription.

That’s when I discovered Affinity software. They were using old-school pricing methods and offered powerful software in exchange.

It was love at first sight!

Before long, I became an advocate and a self-appointed ambassador for Affinity software. I still recommend the software to every designer I meet.

This website is my contribution to all the great work the team at Serif is doing to create such an amazing software suite. And for offering them at such a reasonable price.

I will continue to support Affinity software and spread the word.

I’m just a designer who’s madly in love with the Affinity software!
